Netrium interruptum: spindle-shaped cells with 2, in crossection star-shaped, chloroplasts. Netrium digitus features apical vacuoles with a single barium sulphate (BaSO4)-crystal. The chloroplasts in this species are subdivided giving the impression of 4 chloroplasts per cell. (2)
